"If There Was Never Friendship"

Dear Diary,

Today I am going to write about friendship. One, two, three, it happens just like that from beginning to end! Friendship is one of the best parts of life. What would life be without friendship? Think of it, no friends or never knowing your best friend.

I know I could never live without my best friends. Michelle, Lauren, Angela, Kim, Shelly, Sara, and Sam, etc. I love friendship it teaches many things. It teaches you to be kind, loving, caring, loyal, trustworthy, and faithful. Do you know how you would feel if you had no one to talk to except your parents? Friendship means so much to me!

My best friends are like sisters and brothers to me. They always look out for me, and take care of me when I'm sick or hurting. I don't know what my Mom and Dad would do without friends. I think my Mom would go crazy without any friends. My Dad would care less, in fact all he needs is a dog and a couple of bratty kids.

Every time you make a best friend, you end up getting into fights or yelling at each other. I remember when my friend Lauren and I would get into fights much of the time when we were younger children. When we were three to five years old, we would play house or dolls, and sooner or later one of us would say we didn't like the other's idea. This would cause an argument, and we would say that we didn't want to play with each other anymore. Then almost immediately we would apologize to each other.

Anyway, my friendships for the past twelve years have been worth the effort. They have been a blast! I always go to my friends house mostly every Friday. Friends always give you company, and they always talk to you when you have a problem. Even though we would get mad at each other we always forgave one another.
I believe that friends should last a lifetime, but that's my opinion. Some best friends have secret handshakes, and my best friends have songs and even dances that we have made up. Friendships are the best!

Love,
Your secret friend,

Bethany Staeger

P.S. My motto is, "best friends forever"!!
